As with any large concept, MedCycle is not without it's challenges.
Promotion and Take Up
Like any application one challenge will be getting individuals to use MedCycle. A major poster and flyer campaign could be used in pharamcies, doctors surgeries and hospitals to promote the use of the application.
Competitions could be run in local communities to encourage usage of MedCycle, sending medical parcles rather than food parcels to local collection points.
Getting Partners to Sign Up
It'd be essential to create MedCycle in collaboration with the organisations who will be using it, so that confidence in it's capability is strong and that the service works from day one.
Confidentiality
The application would have to remain secure, and not store images of patients medication or personal details.
Controlled drugs such as morphine can be the target of theft, so it's vita the application is secure and doest not store data which can identify individual users or their locations.
Usage
It's essential that when people download the app, they use it. To ensure this, constant development of the application will be needed to make sure it's as intuitive and easy to use as possible.
Continious promotion of the app, reminding people to download, use, and recycle unused medcation would be essential to maintain it's longevity.
